Mustang hire :)

Hello

Now i've finally booked my flights i'm starting to seriously look at everything else. I'm hoping to book a mustang for DH as a surprise as he loves them and points them out whenever we see one on previous trips.

I know you can book with usrentacar and they are currently showing at 375 ish for two weeks. Does anyone else do mustang hire (not bothered about getting a powerful one as such).

I've just done a quick search for an awd code for avis and looked on there and the price is coming in at exactly what I was hoping to pay £350 ish although the description is just a convertible, it shows a mustang as being in the group but cannot guarantee that you will actually get one. Anyone booked with Avis for a mustang?

any help would be appreciated and any codes for other hire companies too xxx

oh i used awd code W300012 not sure what that entails but it mentions showing your airline ticket and passport. Not sure if there are any others or not.

Just make sure when you book it doesn't say 'mustang or similar'

Is it just yourself and your husband who is traveling? If not you may want to consider picking the car up once you reach your accommodation as there is very little room for cases in the boot if you have the back seat occupied with other travelers.

Sorry can't help with the Mustang but we rented a compact with avis, ford focus or similar, tried giving us a Mini Cooper it might be worth emailing or phoning them to see which cars they have in that category before you book good luck.

I hired a mustang with Alamo before and when I arrived they said I had booked one or similar, I cant remember what they offered me but it was horrible
I ended up paying more and getting a Camero, it was even better than the Mustang but I still wasn't happy at having to pay extra.

I agree with the comment about making sure you are definitely booking a Mustang rather than 'Mustang or similar'.

We've done the 'or similar' option twice via Hertz and were very lucky the first time when we got a brand new Camaro (100 miles on the clock) in Florida but we also ended up with an Eclipse Spyder in Las Vegas, which is definitely not a muscle car like a Camaro or Mustang.
