Really!? That's quite a big increase then. I paid £250-ish in November 2013.

Looked at my last few rentals and paid around £350 for 16 days for a standard SUV and around £450 for 16 days for a Full size SUV all in May. I nearly always book in July when the prices are at their lowest.

Just paid £341 for a standard SUV for 2 weeks in June. Very happy with that as prior to this I was looking at around £420 for the same vehicle. Many thanks to the OP.

Thats a good price, well done. Do you have to pay in full at time of booking?

We were looking for ages but just before Christmas we booked our 3 weeker - a Ford Escape with holiday autos and £30 cash back with quidco for £422! Bargain!

Definitely deals to be had!

You don't say what car you booked.

Sorry it is a standard suv for 2 weeks and this also included the gold insurance which means we can both drive and get a full tank of petrol.

Also a booked part of a flydrive only had to pay a deposit.

Just tried going through Thomson via the my booking section and it's a right old rip off to hire through them! About £350 for the most basic car for 2-weeks in may!
