just booked luxury escalade or equivalent for april next year.Waiting on conformation email. I do think its too good to be true and part of me would hope they would get in touch prior to leaving if its a mistake so as to rebook and not get stung at desk.

Do hertz do straight to the garage ,skip the counter?

They do for the Gold plus members. You have to join before you make the booking.

Joined Hertz gold before I booked so should get DH as free additional driver.

Got my email and all looks fine...maybe a bit worried about the price changing when I collect the car though.
I don't see why it should. Especially if the price quoted is in dollars and you're paying on collection. The person at the desk won't know you booked via the French website.
I do hope mine has went through as a pre pay though. It means I can go straight to the garage. My main worry is booking car hire before my flights are booked .

I just got an alert from quidco to say my purchase has tracked. They've converted the €576 to £415 which isn't far away from what I expect the credit card to say.

One for the pay on arrival deals.

If you are straight to the garage..when do you pay?

Would hate to get to the exit barrier driving licence,cc details and fuel options then the rental agreement has what should probably be the real price $$$$$$$$

Ram into reverse and back up the hill...
