Another one here that has dilly dallied over car hire at end July, beginning of August. Can't remember actual prices before
Christmas but definitely gone up a fair bit.
We are looking for SUV or Dodge Caravan. Alamo via Expedia is coming up at best price but doesn't give much info re:insurance.
Anyone booked via Expedia - good or bad ?

Alamo via AutoEurope, pickup & dropoff MCO
7 seater minivan
18 days for £402 (initially booked on 5/10/15 then 3 weeks later price dropped so called them & they refunded the difference)
Extras: None needed as I have a free tank of fuel & extra driver promise following an issue with Alamo last year.

I know I bagged a good deal & with the free extras I'm over the moon
I watched prices all summer & best price I could find was about £520 with US Rentacar until I found this deal.
I have checked AutoEurope a few times since & the price is either nowhere near or they are not offering Alamo!
Good luck to all those who are still looking
Cheers, Les

thats a good price. Does it make any difference if you book alamo through a 3rd party? rather than direct with alamo? thanks

Alamo standard SUV, 21 days from 1/7/16 pick up at MCO £577. Booked with alamo brits, so includes extra driver. Booked in August 15 and fully paid.

3 weeks last year for a week earlier in an intermediate SUV was £404!

Just did a new quote for 2016 and it's now £890 instead of £577!

That seems really cheap, maybe Tampa is cheaper for pick up, my price of £607 (posted earlier) seemed good value, checked yesterday and almost £1000 now for 23 days
