Help please $500 travellers cheques

Can anyone help, I have received 2 $500 travellers cheques despite requesting small denominations! I have tried to get them changed but have not been successful. Does anyone know the best place to cash them in the US? the American Express website says Sun trust banks but I thought they had stopped taking them? I am staying offsite so cannot use them to pay off room balances etc.

Thanks

Sib x

Although off-site most hotels will still take them as payment. I've never had a problem paying rooms with them.

Thank you but unfortunately we are staying in a villa so that is not an option either.

I would do a big shop in Walmart on the first day and use it then.

We had no problem cashing them at several Publix last week but I'm not sure what the limit per day was

Thanks, I did think of that but was concerned they would not take such a large cheque?

I didn't realise people still used traveller's cheques. Haven't seen them for years.

Not helpful, I know. Good luck with cashing them.

Never had an issue at Disney I'm sure you will be fine there with them.
