Kaylie and Steve's Magical Disney Wedding 17/11/2014

Hello to all you lovely Dibbers! I have been on here since before our 2012 ‘once in a lifetime trip’ and have planned every part of our 2012 and 2013 trips I haven't done a pre-trippy yet so this is my first one!

Introduction

Me – Kaylie



I am 25 years old and a massive Disney fan ever since I was 2! My favourite films include Beauty and the Beast, the Lion King, The Rescuers and most recently, Frozen and Wreck it Ralph! I used to play The Rescuers over and over again as a child and I still have the VHS Tape to this day!
I have been to WDW twice now, once in November 2012 and the other in December 2013 and have loved every moment! It is my favourite place in the world and I could easily live there!

28 years old and also a huge Disney fan! He, like me loves all Disney Films, his favourites include Peter Pan and Robin Hood. He has also been to WDW twice with me, November 2012 and December 2013



How we met and our engagement

We met in our local night club, Ignite, on January 6th 2007. We have been inseparable ever since, we have now been together for 7 ˝ years and I love him to pieces! We live together in our home town and have a little dog called Bella!

The Engagement

We got engaged on the 21st March in a beautiful restaurant in The Strand, London. We had a beautiful meal and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him ... I started crying and said a massive yes! The lovely waiter brought over a glass of champagne and we danced the night away celebrating!



Our Previous Trips

We have been lucky enough to go on some amazing holidays in our 7 ˝ years together, including Cyprus, Menorca, Mexico, Florida (twice) and New York, all of which we have loved.


We had been engaged for a happy 5 years (and after paying for the above holidays that ate up all our money!) we decided that it was time to tie the knot and make the next step ... After returning from our Florida and NYC trip in December 2013 our thoughts quickly started on the next trip back to the mouse and a possible wedding





The Trip

After much deliberation we booked our holiday as follows-

Flying out with Virgin on the 13th November 2014 and staying for 14 nights in the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort in DTD.



So far we have booked the Disney 14 day ticket and the Universal 14 day ticket

Will be booking – MVMCP, Dis Cove

The Wedding

I have always wished and hoped that I would get married in Disney and every time we went past the Wedding Pavilion on the Monorail I would wish I was that girl getting married there. We soon realised that with 8 months to go until November the Wedding Pavilion would not be possible. Our thoughts then turned to getting married in either the Eternally Yours Chapel or at the LBV Palace in DTD. Whist pricing these up I emailed my hotel and realised that they have a Wedding Gazebo on site which is perfect! So our plans are –

We get married on Monday 17th November at 3pm Orlando time here-





The morning will consist of meeting our wedding planner and making sure everything is ready. We will then wander down to DTD and have a nice breakfast followed by shopping, we will be trying to relax as much as possible!

At this point we will go back to the hotel and Steve will get himself ready and leave the room for a few beers in the bar downstairs. The next time I see him will be at the altar!

I will get my hair and makeup done by Crystal at around 12.30pm, followed by her hopefully helping me get into my dress!

Then I will make my way downstairs with Steve hopefully at the altar already waiting. This is when the music will kick in and I will walk down the aisle to 'A Thousand Years' by Christina Perri

We have Rev Deems Timothy Herring to officiate and the famous Randy Chapman as our photographer. After we have said ‘I Do’ we will be having a Champagne Reception outside followed by jumping in Randy's car to The Poly, taking the Monorail to The Contemporary Resort and finally photos in the GF and at the Gingerbread house!

Afterwards we plan to have a couple of cocktails at a bar in GF Followed by dinner here at the beautiful California Grill!



Wishes isnt on that night as the park shuts at 7pm and it isnt a MVMCP night either we think its hired out for a private event. Hopefully whoever has hired it still puts some fireworks on

We will then be having a blessing and a party with our families once we return

That is our magical day in full and I will update you with any additions or changes! I hope you enjoyed reading and I look forward to the planning!

Thanks all, we decided to get married just the two of us in Florida as this is something that we have spoken about for years now

Our family appreciate that although they would love to be there it is quite expensive (as you all know) to go to Disney World and they just cant do it. As well as my Nanna just having had a hip operation and my Grandad's sore knees and they also couldn't fly.

Thoughts came on to saving up for years and years to get married here but our love of Florida and Disney kept making us book again and again to go back So we decided that we would get married how we wanted and in our special place

We will be looking into streaming the wedding live to the UK so our families will see and of course load them with pictures throughout the day!

So far we have ...

Booked the venue with the hotel and deposit
Booked and paid deposit for Randy
Booked hair and make up

I have been very lucky to have already found my dream dress, this being the first dress i tried on! I won't be putting a picture on here in case Steve sees but it is stunning and I love it!

It needs some adjustments to the straps and back and minor additions to the veil (more diamonds and pearls sewed on)

Things we still need to do ...

Buy Shoes
Buy Tiara
Buy the little transfers that go on the back of the shoes saying 'I Do'
Buy the rings - I have seen a few in Ernest Jones so far, i want a plain 3mm band and would like the two rings engraved with the wedding date and WDW
Steve needs to buy his suit

Hi Kaylie, I got the wishes cd when I was last in Disney World, i think it would be available elsewhere though. It is of the show though not an instrumental. Not sure if it's an instrumental version you are wanting? X

Yay trippie at last Mrs! love it!

If you youtube some music and find one you like you can download it with a converter I have with my harp music I saw the wishes album on there im sure.
