Isle Of Arran - East Coast Up To Lochranza

There's a lot of wildlife on Arran - so many red squirrels (no greys), deer, seals, sea otters if you're lucky etc; and there's a view around every corner. Oh and 2 distilleries 😊

I love Lochranza
DD was based there for almost 4 years working as. Geology instructor. PGL used to have a field studies centre there ( now an independent one), where she was based. It was conveniently situated between the distillery and the pub/hotel with the whisky menu.
She was there with lots of students onsite when that part of the island was snowed in and lost all electricity. She�s got fantastic photos of the army dropping field kitchen equipment and the kids helping to dig out the local houses.

Was that 2013? DS had just moved into their house with no heating in it apart from an open fire!
