Thanks Mick. My email says that my flights have been cancelled and I can either accept the new flight they have offered of reschedule to another flight. No mention of voucher or refund. Can I insist on refund or voucher do you know as my fight has been cancelled. Would rather refund but will be rebooking so would accept a voucher at a push.
Just to add be just been on BA website and my return flight is no longer showing as an option

Legally if the airline cancels your flight they are obliged to offer you a full refund but naturally, just like VA did to us back in April, they will try to preserve cash and offer you a voucher first which you can understand.

To be honest the phone call was hard work as he repeated all the details of the LGW flight and the LHR flight timings etc which I knew but I just remained resolute and just kept saying "refund please"

Thanks Mick. I will call. I’ve just been on BA website and our return flights on 21st Nov are no longer showing as an option so no doubt they will also be cancelled

I've just added a PS to my post #57. I had more than one email but "changing seats" was first

I've just added a PS to my post #57. I had two emails but seat change one was first followed by cancellation about 3 minutes later

I put the wrong date Mick. Should have been 16th.

About two hours ago I got email cancelling my nov flight so called and asked for refund was very straight forward and got my avios back straight away and my credit card will be refunded in 10days - had accepted that the chances of flying this year were practically zero but it’s still disappointing, I have my March trip to pin my hopes on now and am looking at next sept/Oct for any other trip

At 74 I'm allowed to be confused.

Anyway both emails took me to MMB and I've just gone back and checked and in a big red banner it says "can't open this as currently a refund is being processed"

Always good to see that action is underway.

Mick

Our flight on 6/12 still seems to be running. However, according to the seat plan we are the only people in Club! Unlikely, so I’m expecting the cancellation soon.
