BA proposed Schedule for November 2020
British Airways as of Friday 16OCT20 filed latest adjustment to its planned long haul services for the month of November 2020. I have just included the services to Florida for the purposes of this thread.
London Gatwick – Orlando 1 daily 777-200ER (3 weekly from 16NOV20) From 16th November flight details are:- BA 2037 Mon/Wed/Sat Dep LGW 1135 Arr MCO 1635 BA 2036 Mon/Wed/Sat Dep MCO 1825 Arr LGW 0735 next day No flights scheduled LGW-TPA. London Heathrow – Miami 1 daily 787-9 BA 209 Dep LHR 1405(M/T/F/S) Arr MIA 1910 (M/T/F/S) - services on Tue/Wed/Sun 5 mins later in both directions. BA1528 operated by American Airlines AA39 will continue to operate daily as normal as it has done throughout lockdown. Please note this is the intended schedule for Orlando but as we know additional changes remain highly possible, due to various travel restrictions. |

Really appreciate this info. I'm getting very concerned now though as both my outbound (BA2037 on 5th Nov) and inbound (BA2036 on 16th Nov) flights are still on this schedule! I'm obviously not going regardless, but really worried I'll lose the money for 2 fully paid for club world tickets. Please let them cancel! Not sure how long to wait before calling them?

My flight for 14th Oct was only cancelled a week before so it may be a bit closer to your trip before you find out what is happening. But perhaps it may be worth ringing BA on their freephone number 0800 727 800 to check if they have anything in place with regard to vouchers/refunds at the moment. I think the 5th November might be too early after the US Election for the travel regulations to be lifted but we just don't know. Hope it works out for you.

Thanks so much for the advice DisneyCupcake. Looks like I might have a bit of a wait then. I'll wait another week maybe and then call them to ask. Thank you

I must admit that it did prey on my mind and I was constantly checking ba.com - I was absolutely certain they would cancel but the "gnome of doubt" kept popping up in my little brain. So it is easy to say hold your nerve but I appreciate how unsettling it can be too. Best of luck.

Not sure if this will help you.
Our BA flights 1st Nov out and 29th Nov back were cancelled on Friday. Our booking was a bit complicated though. We booked LGW-MCO back in December but about 2 months ago they cancelled the inbound flight and made it back to LHR. We had the option of keeping LGW out and LHR return, changing to LHR for both or cancelling. WE chose to change to LHR out and back. Needless to say we've been hoping for a cancellation for a few weeks. Naturally getting a voucher is fairly easy on line but a refund needs a phone call coupled with patience and resolve. Plus you must enjoy listening to the Flower Duet from Lakme by Delibes for 20 minutes then 20 minutes listening to the guy repeating every detail of my bookings six times before telling me that he'd submitted a refund. Back to my CC in 7-10 days he says. Better than the 120+ that VA took for our April cancellation though. Mick

PS to the above.
Forgot to say that another option on Friday was to change our flights to LGW - back to where they were when we booked. What was point of us doing that and be waiting for them to cancel that option shortly. Mick

I think we have to remember that this is not necessarily BAs decision anyway.

Our flights BA Lgw to MCO on 11th - 25th Nov are still showing as live but considering our ESTA's have been cancelled and they are not open for renewal then we can't get on a plane plus of course Trump still isn't letting us in. We had only just renewed our ESTA's before we travelled in March (shut down happened whilst we were there) but I bet they don't honour the remaining time we should have left on our ESTA's. But mustn't grumble we are still fit and well.
