Healing a broken heart - meet Nanook

Sadly 6 weeks ago we lost our beautiful Tuffy J Cat, he had cancer which was very aggressive, we are devastated as this was just the time we had to sell our villa too. I must admit I was in a pretty dark place.

Three weeks ago I had a message from Tuffys breeder asking if she could call me. She said she had a very special little boy that she needed a loving home for. He was going to be a stud at a friends in Scotland but has a little heart murmur. Vet isn’t worried and thinks it will probably go by the time he’s 6 months old. She didn’t want money for him she just wanted a loving home for him and couldn’t think of anyone she’d rather give him to.

So lots of talking and tears and not a lot of sleep, 2 days later we collected this little monster we have called Nanook which means Polar Bear in Inuit. He’s a Seal Lynx Bengal and he’s turned our house upside down. He’s given us,me particularly, something to focus on.

Nanook is gorgeous.

I remember many years ago after having had to have our last fur baby put to sleep we eventually after much heartbreak took on two new kittens.

The first thing our vet said was it was a great testament to our other cats that we were giving new ones the same lovely home too.

You'll never forget Tuffy J Cat but Nanook has a loving home now too.
