Keep safe everyone.

Just been talking to the kids at home and a bit concerned about the weather.
It's glorious here but actually I do enjoy a good storm, just glad we got our new roof, back door and kitchen window completed before we came away. I have been completely caught out as I have brought leggings, UGG boots and jumpers. Probably need to go clothes shopping now!

Thank you x

It's been wild here. Our back fence has been knocking backwards and forwards, and the rain has been coming down horizontal. It's died down a bit now though.

Enjoy your shopping

I foolishly put the bin out before, I'll just have a last check to see if it's still there

Charged to the hilt DS 2/3 should have been on stand by ( work in electricity supply ) DS2 in NewYork Ds3 still off sick and tucked up,in bed with a big smile on his face
We’ve had one tree down and a good bit of fencing looking suspect already
Oh and the flasks are filled as I don’t function with out my tea in the morning
A long night ahead

Very blustery during the night. DH put the bin out & it went over almost straight away so he pulled it back again to put out this morning. Never looked out but the house is still standing ditto the fence!

Driving home last night was awful - I drive down country lanes and there was already branches all over the road and I was worried a tree would come down. Plus there was surface water everywhere and so many cars forget to dim their full beam so I was blinded every 10 seconds!

However our new house is so much better protected from storms than our old one, it's really sturdy and heavy (as a lot of it is oak framed) so I feel really safe here. Plus the only fence we now have is a 3ft one behind the garage, the rest is big hedges or walls, so not worried about fences coming down in the garden Plus no big trees to worry about falling on to the house!

We can enjoy the storms through our big windows
