Barcelona Hotel recommendations

Hi - we have booked our flights (2 adults) for Barcelona in June. Does anyone have any hotel recommendations?

We stopped at Barcelona Universal hotel, it runs parallel to Las Ramblas at the beach end with a metro station outside the door. There were also free beer tasting nights as well.

We went last year and stayed at the K & K Hotel Picasso (or something like that) - it was near the park Ciutadella - we loved that area El Born. Really quaint little streets with some gorgeous shops and restaurants and easy walking distance to Las Ramblas!

We stayed in Hotel Continental last June, it is right at the top of Las Ramblas, a couple of minutes walk to the metro and Plaza Catalunya (quick, easy, cheap airport bus from here). Perfect for getting around either walking or on the metro. Balcony's overlook Las Ramblas, it was lovely to sit there at night watching everything below with free (included) wine, beer & buffet.

We liked the Olivia Plaza, it�s on Plaza Catalunya at the top of Las Ramblas. Very central, metro station and airport buses are just across the Plaza.
