Hmm, about the whole messing with midichlorians bit? Ok, interesting. I suspect we will get a comic to fill in what happened between the movies that better explains his resurrection.
That said, I think JJ and Disney thought it best to play it safe... we know our star wars fans can get quite mental.

Enjoyed it and brings the saga to fitting end. Particularly enjoyed the interaction between Rey and Kylo Ren, however, the last part of the battle between Rey and Palpatine was heavily influenced by Avengers Endgame.

I really enjoyed it, especially the "I know" .
I preferred the look of KR/Ben with the scar than without it & I was sad with his/Rey's ending. I'd go see it again

I’m not going to analyse it because I just watch them for enjoyment ( my son is the Star Wars nut ) but we loved it . Felt old school to me and made me smile . Can I also say I sat at that table and I’ve sat in the falcon i really appreciate now just how well they have done galaxys edge and the falcon . Brought back lovely memories for my mum of our Orlando trip . I’m waffling ,but it was a great family film that reminded me of when we were kids in a way .

I was surprised it didn’t fare better on rottentomatoes.com.

I booked tickets yesterday, but we are not going until Boxing Day.

The vast majority of those going to see the film don't read the books and comics so it comes out of the blue.

Disney changed the rules for what is or isn't canon and a vast chunk of all the comics and books, including almost all unauthorised fan works, are now not canon.

I really enjoyed it. I liked TLJ also, but can see why some didn't, and the whole casino arc was bobbins.

Lots of plot devices that were purely, "ooh, we just happened upon a..." or "we're conveniently standing right where we can see something as a treasure map guide...", but the duels, the atmosphere, the leads' performances (Rey and Ren especially)... a fitting and enjoyable romp of a conclusion I thought.

After TFA and Han, I was loathe to it becoming any kind of Kylo redemption story, but then Han appears and my daughter (who absolutely loves him, and was properly sobbing as a nine year old in the cinema for TFA, only surpassed by Natasha Romanoff's demise in End Game) lit up, and, well...

...she did say the kiss was "totally cringe" though.
