The Irishman

Has anybody watched this.
We decided to watch it as our Xmas viewing last night as a family
OMG what a waste of time, two of us decided to stop after two hours but myself and DD decided to stick it out.
It is over three hours long and that's three hours we will never get back.
We felt we had to take notes almost to keep up with the various names and parts of history involved.
It was almost like a " serious " Goodfellas ( how someone gets pulled in to the crime ) but no where near as good.
No real idea why it was called The Irishman as well - because of the war he could speak Italian, so the only referral to him being Irish was at the start when he said he was Irish

Has anyone else watched it and thought differently

I thought this was good if you followed the story, almost like an audio book rather than looking for what we had in good fellas. I was able to enjoy it from that perspective. But whereas with Goodfellas and can watch that over and over again, the Irishman, I don’t feel would get me to do that. I do think it’s good, but not on the level we have seen all those involved before. I also think they should have got younger actors for the flashbacks
