We did this last summer using National Express and it was very very easy. We arrived at Heathrow early, flight was meant to land at 8 from Manchester but were got there 20 mins early and the coach took 30 mins to get to Gatwick (it was a Saturday). We chose the afternoon flight out of Gatwick because we wanted to give ourselves plenty of time but we would have been fine with the morning flight at 11 something. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

Think it was 30 mins, I know it was scheduled to take 45mins but we got to Heathrow at least 10 mins early. I was surprised myself.
Edited to add- I checked my google maps timeline and it shows we were driving from Heathrow at 8.07am and arrived at Gatwick at 8.41am so that’s 34 mins. Says it was 38.7miles. I would post a screen grab but I can’t work out how to remove the pictures DH took of us from the timeline! Edited at 10:39 PM. |
