Using magic bands in large parties for table service meals

When a party of 12 eats at Disney how does the magic bands work? Does 1 person from each room need to scan their band in? Or because we have booked the holiday together it’s still only 1 person from the party who would need to scan their band?

If only one person scanned their band then all the credits would come off the room that person is in.

You need to scan according to which room you want the credits to be deducted from, so you might take it in turns or you get separate bills for each room.

They will split it up into rooms, they scan the bands at the start of the meal to check who is entitled to what, unless 1 person is "getting" all 12 meals of course
They will still automatically add 18% to your bill, & before someone comes along & starts a "bunfight" you don't HAVE to pay it yada yada
