The reason water tastes odd in Orlando is because the water table carries suiphur. Apart from that the water is filtered and purified, has fluoride added just as we do here in the UK. It won't kill you but as it is not too may people's taste they opt to buy bottled water at the supermarkets.

We bought sachets of Crystal Light from Walmart. 10 sachets for $3 in a variety of flavours. As its powder for its handy to carry in the smallest bags or even a wallet or pocket and makes any nasty Orlando water taste yummy. We added 1 sachet to a litre of water in our water bottles.

Often we would freeze the night before so it remained icey cold until at least midday in the parks during summer.

I think the water in Orlando is fine, I don't mind the taste or smell but DW hates both.

Its really down to personal preference. Although we did at least agree that its much better if its ice cold.

No 'cos if they are Orlando natives their bodies have adapted to the minerals but if they travelled much further afield they may succumb to the different minerals in that area.

We always drink the tap water. We have never been ill and we don't mind the taste - we must be weird coz everyone else seems to hate it.

I don't think Disney give out cups of bottled water when you ask for an iced water in the parks. I lay bets it's simple tap water ( perhaps filtered, who knows) .
We drink it anyway .
