Disney to close stores at Disney Partnered hotels

𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀

Disney has decided to terminate their retail space leases at seven of it‘s Disney Partnered hotels.

The shops offered guests the chance to buy last minute gifts or use up the last of their DIsney Dining Plan Credits. They also offered guests the opportunity to buy last minute park tickets are already in the process of closing.

The third party owned hotels have seen a massive drop in the number of visitors staying, which also has a knock affect with Disney shops revenue.

Not surprised at this. In all the years I have been visiting the palace ( literally over the rd from Springs) I have never known the Disney shop in the slightest busy, the staff always just hanging around talking.

I work in Disney Springs and this was in the works a long time ago. I seem to remember we got some of their product in a transfer back in January (and some of their cast too).
