I was 53 when I was made redundant, had been in the same job for 36 years & was worried I’d struggle. Applied for 6/7 I fancied, had 4 interviews and offered 3 jobs. I know it’ll be tougher in this climate but it is possible for us older ones and to be honest I haven’t looked back. Good luck.

So sorry to hear this it’s a rubbish time .
DH made redundant technically from 7/9 but we had 3 weeks to worry about it do he started applying for jobs straightaway.
He’s had one interview ,got down to the last five but wasn’t lucky,

Sorry to hear about your redundancy, although not the same I decided to apply for a new job about 4.5 years ago, just before my 62nd birthday... the care home work was just getting to heavy for me... best move I ever made, I get paid double what I did, work from home, was offered hours that suited me and love my job... when I was looking I didn’t think I’d ever find another job at my age but it just goes to show...
I’m sure you’ll find a new job and as they say “when one door closes another opens”...
