Thank you all. Every one sounds really positive about the ship at least ! I will have a think on it and decide. Something in my mind is with it being April it will be too cold for the pool. We went on a Med cruise in August one year and couldn’t use the pool and I need to know there is enough there without it.
I also have a habit of choosing just because it’s cheap !

At that price I would rip their arm off.

I had 3 weeks onboard with my 14 year old niece - I hardly saw her as she had such a fab time with friends she made in the teen club 😂

Will your 15 year old
Go to to the kids club?

Molly was 15. She went once and felt it was small and busy. She didn’t go back. However she is happy enough with us for company.

That seems like a great price. We did the fjords on Britannia last year. We've also sailed with NCL, RCI, Princess and MSC.

P&O wouldn't be my first choice of cruise line but often the prices are impossible to beat! There was nothing wrong with Britannia, just not as special or fun as the megaships that we love. We found the food in the buffet better than the MDR but nothing was bad. The shows were fine but nothing blew us away. Our favorite was the magic show but couldn't help comparing it unfavourably to Magic To Do on Princess which was spectacular.

The other entertainment wasn't really to our taste, pub quizzes on music we are too young to participate in! And in general we didn't find as much going on as other cruise lines so we mostly amused ourselves. One thing we did love was the cookery club but that costs extra. So it depends what you like to do on cruises and if you prefer a ram packed entertainment schedule. We were with family including my 3yr old nephew and he liked the little kids play areas and clubs. My parents were mostly happy to sit on their balcony and watch the scenery but they went to a couple of movie showings. Obviously being Norway the weather wasn't hot so we didn't use the pools or anything. I don't remember actually us doing a lot at all but I was 3 months pregnant so I was probably happy just chilling out! There was lots of dance classes scheduled which normally we'd have loved so maybe we'd have taken part in a lot more if I wasn't pregnant and a bit nauseous.

So I guess my overall review would be P&O are fine and their pricing is great, but for me there's no real wow factor. Id consider them in future if itinerary was key over ship experience.

Thank you all so much for all your replies.
We have decided to put it on on hold. I think the ship looks good so will bear it in mind for the future though. The main thing for us is the weather. We like our holiday weather hot and we won’t get that in April.
The best price has also gone to £460, still a great price but would mean another £160 between us.
Thanks again.

That comment made me chuckle- we just got off the Oceana yesterday and the music quizzes all had lots of post 90’s music! Given the average age of the passengers must have been 70+, there were never any high scores!
“Doris, how do you spell NSYNC?”😂🤣

Haha we'd have loved that! We gave in when it was all 60s stuff!
