Question Floridays

Looking for info on Floridays Resort on Int Drive, if you've stayed there before please let me know your thoughts on it and where's the best place to book?

I have been looking at Floridays for our May holiday next year, looks like a lovely resort and good reviews on trip advisor too!

I looked at it last year but ended up at Sheraton Vistana Villages across the road as I wanted something with gated security. Seen lots if positive feedback on Dibb about Floridays though.

Stayed twice, would happily stay again. Large, comfortable and clean units. Didn't use cafe or shuttle buses.

Sheraton Vistana Villages (there is also a just “Sheraton vistana” which is not the same) has very similar apartments to Floridaya with full kitchen, washing mashine etc. We have stayed several times in a two bed apartment and it is very spacious. Great pools. I’d search to rent from an owner or via a tour company rather than booking rack rates direct.

Have stayed in both Floridays and Sheraton Vistana Villages and thought the Sheraton was a nicer resort. The soft furnishings were much more luxurious and it has a restaurant which Floridays doesnt. Although you really need a car for both resorts so restaurant isnt a deal breaker. We stayed in Floridays last year as it had a 3 bedroom option but if the prices are similar and you only need 2 beedrooms I would recommend the Sheraton.

Stayed there twice and really like it. Best things are the actual apartments themselves, the location and the pools - especially the smaller, quiet one.The exterior decor is sort of spanish/mexican ranch type style which is a bit marmite. The cafe is a bit small as is the shop but there is a publix 500 yards away and not much further to one of the outlets. Also easy to get to disney and on to the I4. if it was included in a virgin holidays package we would have booked there again. We booked via travel agents first time and second time direct with Floridays - got 20% off. Both times we asked for and got a particular block and floor. My preference is to be close to the smaller pool - quieter but still not far away from reception etc.

This year is the first time we have not been in october (school hols/exams etc?) so am (a) suffering massive withdrawal symptoms and (b) worried it will be really hot next summer - have you been there before at that time?
