Any non disney hotels within walking distance?
Would love to go back to dlp next summer but the prices of the on site hotels are eye watering- £2800 + for 3 nights for 2 rooms total of 3 adults and 3kids. Husband is not keen on off site as we will not have a car but just wondered if there are any other hotels that are walkable? Happy to walk 20 minutes or so.

The Hipark is walkable but any hotel in Val d’Europe takes 10 minutes on the RER, one stop away.

As a family of 5 we bought annual passes & stayed at Magic Circus hotel. It's not walking distance but has a regular free shuttle bus
We book a family room which is actually 2 connecting rooms, both with a double bed & a set of bunks. Breakfast is a hot & cold buffet & if you book using Expedia via Quidco or topcashback you get a % back too! |

If you are happy for everyone to stop in the same room, explorers have a 6 bed room I believe. Explorers is a 20 to 25 min walk but also has the overcrowded free bus too.

We stayed twice at Relais Spa val d’europe which has a free shuttle bus to take you to the park. You can actually see the Tower of Terror from the hotel so it’d be about a 15-20 minute walk - we’ve never done it though as the shuttle is just so convenient!

I don’t like being beholden to an overcrowded shuttle bus so we tend to use RER. Last time we stayed at the Ibis Val d’Europe which is literally right outside the far end of the RER station. Took us 10 min to the parks. Cost £200 for 3 nights.

As you are considering offsite, I am guessing you have APs or are thinking of purchasing APs?
Have you considered using a site like eBookers? I was actually looking a few weeks back at going next week for 4 nights (couldn't get time off in the end so couldn't go), and they had NPB for £650.00 for 2 adults 1 child, compare that to £1800 through Disney and it's a massive saving, they also had SQL for £480, and even DLH was only £1400, I also had a 13% discount with them on my account so was coming up even cheaper. Obviously this does not include park tickets, but then neither would the offsite hotels, so I'm guessing this isn't a problem for you. Only thing is you would probably have to wait closer to the time to book the hotel, as the onsite hotels don't tend to get added onto 3rd party websites until a few months before, I'm guessing it's just any rooms they haven't sold yet. |

+1 for the Ibis Hotel, Val d'Europe It's easy to drive to and has a decent underground car park with a decent 2.0 metre headroom so you can take a large 4x4 (without a roof rack) and leave it there for the duration of your stay.
The RER is quick and the Ibisis a nice basic no-frills hotel which met our needs twice as we prefer to spend limited time in the hotel so that we can concentrate on the fun Disney stuff. BTW, the above link is to the PocketGPSWorld map of POIs and shows where the carpark is for the IBis. You need to be a registered member (it's free to register as a member) to see the map. Download the France Disney Hotels POI and you'll get SatNav directions to the door. Regards, |

The onsite packages include tickets for length of stay. If offsite you need to buy tickets, and by the time you have bought about 3 days worth of tickets, it may be cheaper to buy an annual pass, which then gives you discounts.
