Food options on BA?

does anyone know what kind of meals they offer on BA esp the childrens & gluten/dairy free options?
We usually travel with virgin and I will be taking some bits with me anyway but wondered if its worth ordering the special requirement meals?
thanks

This was the kids’ meal in economy flying to Tampa in August, it was the same the previous February too. Mine liked it

This was the standard adult meal, beef casserole, the other choice was a vegetarian pasta

Eat before the flight and bring snacks. Both our BA Gatwick flights in August the food was inedible.
We usually don't mind plane food but we 'adults and kids' barely ate anything.
I ordered kids meals and kids were not interested at all.

This exactly! We flew BA in December and the food wasn’t great. We took snacks and sandwiches on the plane for my son. I also posted a food report with pictures.

We went with BA in November. We had World Traveller + seats. I ordered the gluten free meal which was salmon and veg plus a ciabatta roll (roll was good - nicer than the normal plane rolls), a salsa type salad and fresh fruit. I'm not sure if they combine the gluten free with dairy free but it usually seems like it - there was nothing obviously dairy on the tray. The second "meal" was a weird frittata thing which I really didn't like - and I normally like everything! There are no gluten or dairy free snacks offered in lieu of the little bag of pretzels and ice cream although if there's any of the fruit tubs left over they will bring you one of those. Be aware that when they are giving out the pretzels and ice cream they automatically give them to everyone so if it's a young child that is gluten free watch that they don't start to eat something they shouldn't. I took my own snacks and I was glad I did.

I’m lactose intolerant and have taken to ordering the vegan option 4/5 times it’s been a nicer meal than the ordinary options my wife has had.
