Budget accommodation for Clearwater Beach please, real budget. Less than Ł100 a night if possible.

Otherwise highly unlikely for that price.

Have a look at East Shore Resort - depends what time of year you are going but may be a fit.

Thanks, will check it out, (checked, fully booked) looks as if it will be back to Sarasota Super Motel 8 otherwise, Cheap and cheerful, clean and comfortable. all mod cons, full wi-fi and breakfast. The haunt of many Canadian Snowbirds for weeks at a time and has good reviews. Pity there is nowhere similar on Clearwater Beach. (Ł102 per night)

I can’t recommend it yet as we aren’t staying there until August but we have booked Pelican Pointe resort. It is costing us Ł220 for three nights for a suite with kitchenette. It gets really good reviews so we are hoping it’s good. It also has free parking and no resort fees.

Pelican pointe! It’s great value and brilliant location. We went a couple of years ago and going back in August
