Fast passes - do you always book them?
When we went in November we made good use of the fast pass system, we couldnt get any for the most popular ones such as slinky dog or flight of passage, but had plenty of other ones.
I have a friend going in a few weeks and shes adamant that they dont need them and wont book any because they dont know what they want to go on until they get there! I dont understand this at all but I cant change her mind on it. So i was wondering, does everyone book fast passes or are there more people that dont than I realised?! |

I can't see any downside to booking fastpasses. If I decided to do something else, then I am free to do so.

It's my first time going but I've been planning to go for soo long and done too much research. We're going with my partners family who have been a few times but before fastpassplus became the done thing and they're not planning on booking their fp as they dont want to be tied down. I definitely plan to book mine and my partners and kids as you can always edit them if theres availability if you switch up your plans. I dont see a downside In booking them x

There was an interesting article I read the other day why fastpass should be scrapped and it had some valid points to be honest. Personally I spend a big enough amount flying, staying and on tickets to make me want my time spent waiting in queues kept to an absolute minimum, wouldn't book a trip without any fastpass unless it got to the point where its scrapped for everyone (never gonna happen).

I booked FP for every day of or trip last year, and again for this year. I honestly think it's a mistake not to make the most of this 'allowance'; for us it worked very well with both our initial reservations and picking up some excellent additional passes on the day. On a few occasions where our plans have changed, we just amended some of our reservations - and with the exception of the like of flight of passage etc, we were surprised to find decent availability when making these changes.

I wish that I had followed the advice on here and booked more. We didn’t book any for our planned. Rest days, but I wish that I had done now. I started trying for some extras a few weeks out, but still can’t get certain ones.
We wouldn’t have managed to do half as much as we have if we hadn’t got fastpass and we would’ve spent so much longer in queues. I don’t think I’d even bother coming without it! |

I just dont understand why you wouldnt! Those queue times can be pretty long, why would you want to spend time waiting around in them?!

I make Fp's for every day regardless of rest days. Some will be mornings and others for evenings. By doing this I can get the rides I want and can cancel or modify them if plans change esp if weather is rubbish. I want to make the most of my trips, so I'm a planner, I don't want to queue for hours!
Why spend a huge amount of money on a holiday and waste time and energy by not planning? If you want a very relaxing kind of holiday then choose elsewhere. Can't understand some people's choice... |
