Yes, that will be fine.

It's based only on the first day of use. If the first day you will use the ticket is in 2020 then you need a 2020 ticket. If the first day you use the ticket is in 2021 then you'll need a 2021 ticket. The ticket will then last for 14 days after that first day.

We bought our tickets for 2019 at 2018 prices from Attraction Tickets Direct. Proper tickets too, not vouchers.

Do you mean that you booked your 2019 tickets in 2018? Or that ATD were doing an offer where the 2019 tickets were sold for the same price as 2018 tickets?

Is it worth buying tickets for universal before we go?

We're going to Florida in August 2020 for two weeks, with 3 kids ranging from 7 to 12.
Naturally we're going to disneyland but is it worth buying the usual bundle of tickets for Universal? Our kids aren't really into scary rides.
Perhaps is it just worth turning up at the gates and buying a ticket on the few times we might venture out to the place?

Regards

Jamie

Hi, welcome to the DIBB!

Hopefully you'll be going to Disneyworld and not Disneyland, which is on the other side of the States. (Sorry, I couldn't resist)

I think kids aged 7 to 12 will love the Universal parks almost as much as WDW. There are plenty of less thrilling rides. If you don't want to buy a 14-day ticket to Universal, you could always consider something like a 2-day ticket instead. It's not a huge amount cheaper (it's certainly not 1/7th of the price!) but it might be a better option if you only want to spend, say, 2 days there.

Have a look at OrlandoAttractions.com. They sell both types of tickets:

2-Park 2-Day Hopper ticket = £226 per person

2-Park 14-Day Explorer ticket = £282 per person

OrlandoAttractions also sells 3-Day and 4-Day tickets if you want more days.

You can also buy the 2-Day or 3-Day tickets at the entrance, although they'll be slightly more expensive than above. And you can also buy 1-Day tickets at the entrance too; the price of a 1-Day Hopper ticket varies with the date but is around $180 (£150).
