Should I book a package

I am trying to focus on positives and plan a holiday for September 2021., i was talking to my brother and he said I should book a package in April, as booking accommodation in April with WDW, their might not be enough flight available due to everyone changing their holidays over and the 50th Celebrations. Could I have your advice and help please.

Unless you take out insurance prior to booking (which is increasingly difficult at the moment) then I would go for a package.
Not for the reasons your brother has stated but for the fact that there is so much uncertainty at the moment. Thomas Cook and Coronavirus have proven that in recent times...
Edit - this is obviously my personal opinion, others may differ.

If I were to consider a package, I'd be looking at how they dealt with customers/their policies etc and how they coped with the current crisis. How reliable, empathetic etc.

Did they give good advice
Did they refund or give a voucher
Did people who cancelled lose their deposits
How flexible were they
I'd also check their solvency.

re flights
I;d want ones which could be amended or changed or cancelled with no fee or the least amount of fuss and fees.

I'd book/pay using a credit card as that gives some added protection.

Not asking much am I?

Remember october 2021 is WDW 50th anniversary, so it may be 'jammed;!

edit-I am 'locked in' to a 2020 booking which I can partly cancel/postpone to 2021, BUT, personally,if I wasn't, I'd wait until 2022 before going.

Thanks for all your help... I might just book with WDW and add flights on, then I have a package.
