I had one.

Circa 1978 I was laying on the floor watching Dr Who, for some reason laying sideways but still sat atop the hopper if you are with me. So the bottom of the hopper was pointing toward our gas fire.

Well it must have got too hot as suddenly it burst with an almighty bang.

Gave me shock of my life.

I didnt have one, but always wanted one. I did have a pogo stick, not sure why, didnt ask for it and not my birthday or anything and i never just got bought stuff, must have been given to my mother or something, it wasnt new, anyway, i used it, and after two weeks the rubber stopper on the end wore off and it was never replaced so i never used it again. 😕
