No new cases in China

There were no new domestic cases recorded in China yesterday, for the first time.

They’ll start releasing people in Wuhan in 14 days they say if no new cases.

Others will probably then spring up, but they’ll be all over them like a rash, with contact tracing (mobile phone mapping etc) and lockdown for any connected cases.

Hopefully this way they can stay on top of it enough to keep it to low levels and allow a return to normality until the vaccine is done.

Remember it also looks like the have you had it testing kits are coming. Boris said yesterday as soon as we can roll them out, if you’ve had it, it will be a green light to be able to get about your business.

It wouldn’t surprise me to be quite shocked at how many have had it.

No one knows yet how many people show symptoms. The best experiment on this was the cruise ship, where about 50% of even that demographic had no symptoms.

Strategy seems to have learnt from China who actually appear to have done the right thing. But time will tell. It required draconian measures where necessary there though, hopefully will not have to be as bad here. Remember as well it was massively out of control there when they started, hopefully not as bad here.

Hate to bring the mood down but that's not what yesterday's WHO situation report says; who.int/docs/default-sou...rsn=20876712_2

Hopefully just a case of the situation report being a bit behind and tonight's will reflect a vast reduction.

Given it gives Italy’s figures from the day before and not since the above story, I think that is lagging a day behind.

I read that there were no new cases in Wuhan. The only numbers I've read about China are 35 cases but they work 1 day behind.

I googled and USAtoday has a headline of new new cases in China but when you click into actual article this is what it said "Meanwhile, China marked a coronavirus milestone of sorts Thursday as the city of Wuhan and the surrounding province where the global outbreak began reported no new domestic cases." I hope numbers keep going down.

Don’t forget they told the who in January that they hadn’t had a human to human transmission of the virus.
