Confused about resort parking
Evening everyone
I am a bit confused about the new parking charges at disney resorts. I used to hire a car for the duration of my holiday, but since the new charges have come into operation, I am just looking at booking the odd day here and there or just for weekend. I am staying at all star sports for 20 nights. My query is this... if I hired a car for the day to go shopping and returned to resort to drop things off then return car how will disney know I didn't park overnight? I realise they know when you enter by stopping at resort entrance and scanning magicband, but how do they know when you leave? Am I right in thinking that if I picked up car on Saturday morning and kept it overnight and returned it sunday afternoon, I would be charged one nights parking, or are disney going to think I had the car for the length of my stay and charge me for it? Hope someone can advise or help clear up my confusion Thanks

I am not sure how they clock how often you stay overnight but your rental contract showing times out and times back in is money in the Bank.
I would just go with the flow and on the evening before check out pop to the front desk to see what is happening. Edit. Just remembered, you can check your Guest Folio daily to ensure you aren't being charged when you shouldn't be. That way you can speak to the front desk should an anomaly occur.

So glad youve posted this as I've the same plan for April. Would rather have a car for a day to save hauling loads of bags (and beer) via uber .
I plan on speaking to concierge the day before so they know what I'm doing, and hopefully make a note on my room. Then check the morning after so I can query any parking charges. As Tom rightly says, the rental paperwork will prove times in and out. |

Why not just use Angelbabe's company to get your shopping if that really is all you want the car for. Just email her your list (she is one of the advertisers on here, see website below) before you arrive & she delivers your shopping to your hotel for you! Fantastic service & saves you precious time & probably money!

I'm really sorry to topic hijack but it is a very similar thing.
We are doing a split stay and checking into Coronado Springs on day 8. Can I turn up in the car, check in, take luggage to the room, all while keeping the car outside for an hour, before I drop it off at the car care centre? Do they give you an hours grace? |

Hi. You can have a lot longer than that as a resident there.
The keyword is overnight and this is off their website. Overnight self-parking is charged per night, per vehicle.
