Alamo 15 Seater
Hi,
We travel in May 2020 - 6 Adults, 2 Kids & a Baby - 9 in total. The only vehicle available at Alamo for us is a 15 Seater Minibus. Iv noticed that other car hire companies have 12 Seaters available but they are almost double the Alamo price. Has anyone had an experience of a 15 seater, how big are they to drive/park etc. Thanks |

There is very little difference in size between the 2 vehicles but the 12 seaters are quite scarce.
It's not unknown to book a 12 seater and find they give you a 15 seater when you arrive and that's what you get. What dates and prices are you seeing? I can see a 12 seater with Dollar for £655 and a 15 seater with Alamo for £744 Thrifty have a 12 seater for £593

I was thinking that the 15 seater was a lot bigger than a 12 seater, but if there isn't much differentce in size then that should be OK.
Reserved via alamo brits for 2 weeks in May for £600. Ill check out thrifty, thanks! |

I was looking for exactly the same details so thanks for posting! The best I had (for 15) was £777 until now!

If you get to pick your 15 seater, take the ford over the Chevy.
More spare and a better driving experience. We had one for 4 adults, 3 8-15year olds and a baby. Even though it’s big we was still tightish from the airport as it’s all seats no boot space at all.

I have had both, no discernible difference in driving them. Both easy to park and drive in US. Only 1 problem ever encountered - was touch and go whether it would fit under a condo I rented in Indian Shores once due to its height and the low clearance.
Note a lot of them now take biofuel which they have at quite a lot of Speedways- they also take normal petrol or gas as it’s called. Edited at 10:50 PM. |
