MCO is a 24/7 operation so people are returning cars any time between 12.01am and 11.59 in theory. It handles over 800 flights a day and only a handful are from the UK. I don't think anyone will have empirical evidence as to which garage offers the widest choice at any given time.

If you arrive at gates 70-99 it will take you maybe 10-15 minutes (fighting through the other PAX) from the APM to get across to your left. You're on level 3 and the road is level 1. Walk along the road and across to the garage. From memory Alamo may be on level 2.

Study the availability and decide there's a car that fulfils 90% of your needs. So to check side A back over he road up to level 3, cross over the concourse and down to the road on level 1. Maybe another 10/15 minutes.

Nothing suitable in A so 15 minutes back to B to see the 90% car gone.

My timings based on a 74 year old

5/10 min leisurely stroll.
- back across the road
- up 2 floors in an elevator
- wanders across the terminal
- down 2 levels in an escalator
- across road to garage
- talk nicely to a garage person by the booth and claim ignorance. Seemingly politeness and a smile gets you a long way!

YMMV on the garage contents, we only decided on this as the choice was truly terrible on A side.

Not helped by the fact FullSize SUVs aren’t signed in a row on their own.

Spooky, did you ask for an expedition specifically or they just happened to give you it as an option on B side? Used to read folks saying if you asked nicely they’d maybe bring one around from the other side... hope you’re enjoying your hols!

No they pretty much asked whether I wanted white or black, there happened to be no actual FRAR vehicles available so they gave me a premium (PRAR)

Expedition is great - particularly now I have found the sports transmission setting!
