Do you not just put the blender in the pan? I don't use the jug, just tilt the pan slightly and put the blender in making sure it's fully covered for you can get splattered!

We use a Soup maker, best thing I have ever bought. Used constantly, just put stock, roughly chopped veg and it does the rest, we are more adventurous with soups now.

I have a soup maker and I love it. Smooth soup within 20 mins. Perfect. You can also have chunky or not so chunky too.

I have one of these two and I tend to make two loads at once and stick it in the fridge and that's my lunch sorted for the week. The only problem with it is that now and again it will trip the electric for no apparent reason

I use a jug style blender, which cost about 20. I had a stick blender but it did not blend as smooth as the jug does. Also, I like to make a big batch and freeze, the jug seems better for large batches than the stick.

I use a Morphy Richards soup maker. It has chunky/ smooth settings. All the chopped veg goes in and it is ready in 20 minutes. I use it all the time and it cost about 30. As long as I clean it straight away it cleans easily.
