If we go to Europe it will just be a fly and flop at a nice hotel for a week.

I can’t see good direct prices via MAN direct coming in school hols. I wouldn’t consider this route either. The only way we will see them is if they have priced too high and they have lots of unsold inventory.

I’m off to LA out and back from Orlando, and managed before TC went under to get Air Canada indirect for about £700 each. Have you looked at Air Canada, I hear the Toronto transfer is very good, no need to collect cases even, and when you arrive US you arrive domestic.

I managed to get next Xmas direct with Virgin for about £800 booking early as a fly drive with Virgin hols- again before TC went under, but suspect it’s gone up since then.

Universal Endless Summer resort is around $100 (£75) per night at the end of August. So it's £1100 for the hotel for 14 nights.

That makes the flydrive equal to around £730 per person. Indirect flights with one stop are cheaper for those dates but for direct flights it's not a bad price. Direct flights on skyscanner are £776, but that will be without luggage and car.
