I cant drink any diet or zero drinks due to aspartame or even normal "full fat" drinks that have change the sweetener in it like fanta, tango and Sprite in the UK. When we went to the US in summer I got a shock even drinking their normal coke or Pepsi, it was a rush in my system, definitely kept me awake on the first night. I could however drink fanta, sprite and 7 up as they tasted how they used to taste here, no headaches or aches in my bones when drinking them. They definitely have a different taste to the drinks in the UK.

I think they ditched aspartame in Diet Pepsi in the US, which is probably why it tastes so different.

I don't like any of the fizzy drinks i drink here over there. They all taste very different.
I'm sure they used corn syrup to sweeten them

I知 not a massive fizzy drinker but I don稚 even remember seeing Pepsi anywhere over there!

I do prefer their orange Fanta though.

We find the water on Bokeelia undrinkable without going thro our Brita first, even then if the water is left standing and becomes tepid the taste/smell of chlorine returns. Greater Pine Island Water Association splashed a load of chlorine in yesterday pm as our water was minging for over 24 hours.

It was suggested to me years ago that the differing taste between our fizzy drinks and the US may be due to the water.

100% agree! I love Pepsi here in the UK but I find the US version absolutely disgusting. Not sure what the difference is in the recipe but it痴 got such a bizarre taste.

I thought I was the only one who thought this! I値l only drink coke when I知 in America.
