Strange people on this thread.

I'm from Aberdeen and I butter both slices of bread and both sides of the roll.
I wouldn't enjoy it otherwise.

Even more controversially, does anyone else not actually like sandwiches?

I like bread and I like most sandwich fillings. I don't understand the need to ruin either of these things by putting them together!

Butter both slices of bread, or both halves of the roll/bap/teacake/barm/whatever you call it in your locale...

I don't know why, but I find no butter at all not as strange as only buttering one slice.

Butter - Lurpak UNSALTED spreadable and cold from the fridge.

Both sides of sandwich buttered.

Bacon sandwich (smoked bacon of course) NO butter but BROWN (officers) sauce.

If it’s something like a BLT or has avocado in it then one side only buttered and mayo or crushed avocado on the other.

Crusty bread, no butter for dunking into soup or moules (sourdough preferred, baguette second, both to be very fresh or warmed in oven).

And, slight divergence, croissants, only one side buttered then topped with bitter orange marmalade. NEVER to be dunked in any hot liquid -disgusting soggy flakes spoiling good coffee!

Just don’t get me started on How to make a G&T, it could be my mastermind subject! I am VERY fussy about my ice cubes so let’s just leave it there 😅

I'm going for the double buttering unless there are issues with butter coldness/bread breakage in which case it's single side only
