I'm watching the test match on TV in UK, very annoyed that I should be in the members pavilion today (as I should have moved already and friends where hosting us - oh well should be heading out mid Feb, hence the interest in the flights and testing)

We flew Qatar via Doha straight through. The plane was pretty full both legs, only 45 heading to Oz from MAN though.
We applied for and got exemption as parents (or children) of an Australian citizen. Hopefully that will extend to others soon. We had to get a supervised PCR within 48 hours of travel.
You also need to complete an Australian Travel Declaration and get a state Border Permit for whichever state you are going to.
We do know that people have been turned away at check in with the phone call to Canberra for incomplete documentation, so check and double check what’s needed.
The LFT is unsupervised and nobody asks for it - you only get a reminder via text or email that it needs to be done. Also have to do another days 5-7, again unsupervised.
