What’s this bread nonsense.

A brilliant place to keep Mastic tubes, goes on so much easier when it’s warm.

If I catch DH putting them or any DIY/car product in MY warming drawer he will be in big trouble 😂

We have a warming drawer but have never used it. This thread has reminded me it exists and if empty so can now be used for storage 😂

If I want to warm plates I just pop them in the microwave.

I haven't measured it, but I think the small one is 15cm, and the large one is 30cm.

What brand do Howdens supply? I know Neff and Siemens do a 30cm one, but Im not sure of other brands.

Thanks for the reply 👍
I make loads of bread by hand, mostly sourdough. On top of the microwave with the door slightly open works really well for proving dough, the light inside the microwave warms up the top just enough. No good if your microwave is built-in though!
Or on sunny days I put it on a sunny windowsill.

we dont have a warming drawer, but i'd much rather use the space for something a bit more multipurpose...

the small grill/oven above my main oven is where i warm my plates and prove dough. but it can also cook food, rather than just being a drawer that is a bit warm

I have a plate warming setting on my cooker which is perfect for both plate warming and bread dough proving so no need for a warming drawer.
