Shout out to Boots - feeling slightly less stressed

So for the second time I've been back to Boots at my local shopping centre, this time to change our 3 day pre-travel tests to 1 day. The lady was so lovely, said loads of people were stressing about the changes, totally understandable. The online booking system was showing no availability but because I was cancelling 6 she could slot us in. She also said loads of people were simply not turning up for appointments rather than cancelling which makes availability online look much worse than it is, every day appointmentsare missed which others could use. I'm not saying everyone will be able to visit where they've booked tests at, we've still got to get through the next week before travel, but I feel much happier right now. On the plus side I exchanged some money and after the weirdest roller-coaster of a build up for a holiday, I actually feel a little bit excited. I'll only relax when we've landed in Orlando. Fingers crossed for us all, this forum and you Dibbers have been a godsend these past few months, you seriously don't know how much! My family and friends really don't get it, it's just a holiday, why are you stressing, just cancel it, blah, blah, blah. I get that with all the problems in the world it may just be a holiday, but my gosh do we need it, it's been 3 years since our last proper holiday as a family and it may well be the last as the 'kids' are older.

Awww, glad your tests are all sorted now
I think any holiday is stressful but all this with Covid & test results make it 10 times worse 😩☹️
I would’ve liked to use Boots but our nearest one that does it is about 30 miles away 😳
