I’m so sorry to hear about your parents. Stories like this must affect you so much.

I’m just sad that the message in this case is go to Rehab and get off with a suspended sentence.

Rehab consisted of pampering of nails and hair, shopping and then a holiday in Vegas!

Obviously it does upset me but unfortunately I read so many stories about Drink Drivers reoffending
I always thought they should put up photos of children like me that have lost loved ones in the pubs etc & maybe it might make them think twice & they'd get a taxi home 🤞

I don’t do sympathy for criminals. Mental health issues, no teddy bear as a child, had a tough upbringing, uses alcohol as a crutch. Aww bless.
Prison is for punishment not rehabilitation as that’s a word that is bandied around a lot and hardly ever works in practice.

Every day they are in prison stops somebody else being one of their victims which is a word we seem to have forgotten about.

Victims count, offenders don’t.

Some people with mental health issues use alcohol and drugs to cope, many become addicts.

Jail rarely solves the problems of mental health, for many the experience exacerbates their issues.

There is not the capacity in this country to deal with the problems of poor mental health, a fact borne out by the many posts on these boards of members or their family seeking advice on how to access the necessary treatment. Most of these posts are thankfully treated with compassion. For many people, they only access the help they truly need when they are at breaking point.

No one on these boards knows the extent of Katie Price's mental health problems nor the reasons for these problems. I find it sad that so many are desperate for this woman to be jailed, the only person she has really hurt is herself.

I do agree with you in some respects - we don’t know the extent of her mental health problems, but it’s clear she’s not in a good way. It’s a shame those around her don’t seem able to assist her in getting the help she clearly needs before she causes harm, or worse, to innocent bystanders.

Sometimes the use of drink and drugs is the cause of the problems and not the other way around. It’s true, we don’t know what way about it is, none of us. But it’s strange that she never had mental health issues when she was young, successful and in the limelight, only now it seems to be a convenient excuse.

Sorry but I have no interest in people who use MH as a reason for criminal behaviour. Which is exactly what this is. A drugged, drunk, banned driver, getting away with criminal behaviour.

All the nonsense with fake weddings and travelling to multiple locations despite being allegedly bankrupt, in a pandemic situation, it would appear that her only reason for being is to court publicity.

I don’t require any lectures from anyone regarding MH issues. I have several family members who suffer/have suffered from them and they don’t put others in danger due to their own issues.

I would imagine that jail would be the wake-up call that anyone with drugged/drink driving criminal behaviour would warrant. Thankfully no one was killed in this instance.

I know Steve reasonably well and he goes through the agony of publicising this every year. If ever I was to consider driving impaired, then I would think of this incident. I respectfully suggest that everybody views the link and then consider who they know that might benefit from reading it.

As far as I am concerned, K Price should rot in hell. She will doubtless now write her 17th autobiography on this latest debacle (in between worldwide vacations as a bankrupt).

She doesn't have mental health issues, she is playing the mental health card. I used to feel sorry for her but then I met her at a horse event and discovered that she is a deeply unpleasant woman. She deserves jail.
