For those hovering on the edge then this year was always going to be a deal breaker.

A combination of the 50th, generally rising crowds and the pent up expectation of nearly 2 years being locked out are all contributing factors. A perfect storm.

For us we were just happy to be there, soak up the atmosphere. We always have a car and take breaks away from the parks. The thought of being in the bubble with no transport is just a no go for us - we prefer the food (prices!) off site.

Genie+ was actually a plus for us as we use DAS, hopefully this won't be abused (Lodge Guys ... ) by people cheating the system.

We are lucky that we can visit more than once a year, not having the pressure to 'do it all' makes it a more pleasant experience - if it's too busy or just not feeling it we can come back another day or just know we can do that ride or experience in a few months.

We’ve got at least one more full on Disney trip in us I think. We want to take the grandson to experience the excitement and fun. I won’t care the expense as it will probably be the last big hurrah for us. Then again once we retire and we can go in cheaper times we may just do a few more trips

Talk about flip flopping

Did Lodge Guys get DAS? For what?

Just speculation, they seem happy cheating the system for beer refills and parking, so assuming they'd bend the rules to get a DAS. Their visit to AK had suspicious timings for Flight of Passage.

I saw the parking….

I heard DAS is now being scammed to large levels, by people who don’t want to pay for Genie (not suggesting this is Lodge Guys BTW unless someone has evidence). Like every disability scam, the people who suffer are the genuine ones when procedures are tightened up, can’t get the interviews etc. it’s the pits and makes me so mad. How low can people go.

We’ve done two trips to Disney World, one in 2017 and one in 2019. We are going back for our honeymoon in October. We only do eight nights at Disney though, then we move on to universal.

I don’t think we will be back for a while after that though, we have other places we want to see, like Vegas in 2023 for my fiancés (hopefully then husband’s) 30th!

Us too, for the same reason ( grandaughter) but hopefully we will get a taster in Paris in a few months, Florida won’t happen with the family for a couple of years yet, want the little one to enjoy things to be back to as normal as possible.

Hoping to get on our September trip , just me and DH, two weeks of bliss at the Royal Pacific.

Our son and daughter in law are the opposite of us on holiday, they faf about on a morning, get to the parks when we would be thinking about leaving! ( mid morning). They will drive me nuts! But will be worth it I’m sure!

None of us ever got Disney even our son outgrow it at 7 and didn’t want to hug sweaty people in costumes… his words not ours.

Been lots of times since then enjoying SW BG and Universal will go again this year for beach and shops. Or perhaps West Coast… depends.
