POR & POFQ pool usage?

We stayed recently at AKL and there were people at our pool from other hotels, some from PORS and some from Pop.
We did ask a worker and they said officially they shouldn't be going to other hotels, but he said they don't really stop them as its 'un Disney'

We spent an afternoon at the FQ pool whilst staying at Por. We preferred our quiet pool most of the time but it was nice to try the main ones out

It's a lovely walk between the two and each of the food courts has some unique items so we are in both as well.

POFQ is tamer (if that's the right word!) than POR. My kids built their confident on the POFQ slide then loved the POR slide which was a bit longer and faster. As adults we preferred POR pool as it was easier to spot kids and not have to be inches away from them all the time so they got a little bit more freedom as well.

POR and POFQ used to be one resort and it's free flow between the two hence 'pool hopping' is allowed.

Disney indeed do prevent people from using other hotel pools. They do random MB checks sometimes and some pools require MB to open the gates to get access.
