We loved our trip to Canada
We grew to Toronto for 3 nights.
2 nights at Niagra
Then drove into USA - went to Syracuse, Boston, Portsmouth, little falls before going back into Canada and having a lovely house on the lakes. We went for a month - we all loved it and had some great experiences

We did Canada in 2015 in June, our children were 7 and 12 and absolutely loved it.
We flew into Ottowa as we have a friend who lives there so we stayed with them for a couple of days then hired a car and drove up to Quebec where we went bear watching and stayed in a beautiful lodge on the edge of a lake where we did kayaking etc. It was amazing.
We then went back to Ottawa and picked up a camper van. We drove up to Algonquin Park where we camped in the forest on the edge of a lake for a couple of nights, we saw moose, beevers, chipmunks and bears here, it was truly beautiful.

We then went over to Wasaga Beach which was just ok, nothing special to be honest.

From there we went to Niagara Falls and stayed at a camp site there for a couple of nights, we did the falls (obviously!) and drove our camper to the falls before sunrise one morning to watch the sun come up over the falls, truly magical! If you go at the weekend they light the Falls up which is also beautiful. We then went onto Niagara on the Lake which is lovely.

We took a slow drive back stopping at different lakes etc. You can travel for miles and miles and not see a single vehicle.

We tried S'mores, toasted marshmallows on open fires and caught fireflies in little jars (we let them go again, obviously! ).

We had an absolutely amazing time and would definitely go back, the children still talk about it now. We did all that in 2 weeks 😀

We're going to Vancouver in December this year so I'm hoping we will love that as much.

Have fun planning 😀

This was the place, we stayed in a cabin, it was huge! (2 storeys)

There was lots to do there. Kids playground, swimming pool, restaurants, bike hire etc. And the bear watching place was just over the road. Would definitely recommend it.

This picture was taken at the bottom of the wrap around porch.

Do you have any idea where in Canada?
Thank you. I will read the trip reports in the morning. Hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday.
We are not fixed to any areas yet, still considering all options. Hoping to narrow down soon after advice, reading reports etc..
