Tickets and Fastpasses

I'm sure this has been answered before but on searching I couldn't find the answer. Do I need to have linked my disney tickets to MDE before I can book my fastpasses? We are staying onsite in April and so can start booking fastpasses at 60 days. Florida Escapes tell me that I won't get my tickets until 2 weeks before we go but that I can still book my fastpasses on MDE - just want to check if this is correct? Thanks.

You link the tickets to MDE then you can book fastpasses at 60 days out.

Hi - My MDE shows that I have tickets as part of my booking, but Florida Escapes say that I won't actually get the tickets until 2 weeks before departure as thats when Disney send them. So are you saying that without the tickets I won't be able to book fast passes?

Can I ask did you book your holiday through floridaescapes.co.uk, as I originally thought that you only bought the tickets from them, which is why I said that you need to link the tickets. If you have booked your holiday through them I am not sure how that works as I have never done that. Please accept my apology if I gave you the wrong information.

If you can see your tickets on MDE then that�s fine and you�ll be able to book the fastpasses. I had the same with Virgin last year, I booked a Disney package, linked the hotel reservation to MDE and then I could see my tickets on MDE and I was able to book fastpasses 60 days before. My actual ticket vouchers weren�t emailed to me from virgin until 30 days before, but it doesn�t make a difference.

Hi, I booked hotel and tickets as a package with them. Don't worry it's all so confusing and I probably didn't explain myself very well - thanks for your help.

That's great, I'm hoping that all will be okay when the 60 days are here.

If your MDE account shows you have tickets and it shows your onsite reservation then that's all you need to start booking fastpasses. At 60 days before your check-in date you should be able to prebook your fastpasses.

In fact, you don't even need to get your tickets (and you may not receive any). As you're staying onsite, you'll get MagicBands when you check-in and you can use these as your 'tickets'.

When we stayed onsite in 2016, we never received any tickets. They were shown in my MDE account, I prebooked fastpasses at 60 days, and then we collected our MagicBands at check-in and used those to enter the park.
