Alamo toll charge once returned.

Hi we travelled in September last year in december we received a letter from Alamo saying we had incurred toll charges of 17 whilst we where away and they would use our card we registered when we picked car up to pay them. I kept checking my card statement but no payment has yet been taken and I have lost the letter. I have rang Alamo and they cannot find our old booking as we booked through an agent so cannot find any info regarding the charges but I'm worried as we have a car hired through Alamo for this years holiday and am bothered we will flag up as not paying and won't be able to hire our car. Am I worrying for nothing? I have tried to sort it but keep getting no where.

I wouldn't bat an eyelid. If there is an issue which I very much doubt they will sort it whilst there.
All they want is to get you in a car and out of there then 2 or 3 weeks later get their car back.

Don't worry about that. They won't have any record of it, let alone somehow link it to your new reservation.

plus they wouldn't normally send you a letter, just debit your card with the charges. If I remember rightly, there was an attempted phishing scam a while back involving someone pretending to be Alamo and trying to get card details from people

As above, Alamo don't send you any letter to advise they'll process charges, they just hit your CC, end of the story

you just receive an email with the title : Your tolls itemized receipt is available

it advises you that your toll receipt is available on htallc/en/invoice/search
choose your rental company (alamo in your case) and enter your name, and either the 6 first and 4 last digit of the CC used to rent (never enter a full credit card number), or your alamo rental number

the tolls you incurred are listed there. Any other attempt to recover anything is most likely a scam or phishing attempt.

In September toll charges were suspended for about a week or so due to hurricane Irma, were you there about that time.
