Mobile Alamo v Virgin (Alamo) car hire significant price difference.

Pricing up 2 week car hire in July picking up from Sanford. Alamo Brits quote £651.23 for an intermediate SUV whereas Virgin car hire through Alamo quotes £393.10

That's over £250 price difference for the same car pretty much through the same company.

How can they justify the price difference?

This will be my 3rd year in a row hiring from Alamo, although will be through virgin this year.

So are mine! For the last 18 Months I cannot get VA to be anything as good as Brits.

It's swings and roundabouts. But don't forget to put Andy and all the others in the mix as well.

Brits was hundreds more than Virgin for us in August. The service and cars are the same so go with whoever is cheapest.

I’ve only priced up using the two, Alamo Brit’s price is £362 for two weeks Oct 14th SUV Full size so V happy with that.
Virgin is £442.

We need to drop off in Miami so limits our options.

Andy is just under £500 for same car.

Virgin it is!

We booked a SUV last year and found it more comfortable to drive around.

Same with us... 3 weeks hire for SUV... Alamo want £993... Virgin are coming in at £589
Got in touch with Alamo and they wont price match, even though the Virgin booking is with Alamo... so Virgin it is then...

I see we are all Alamo lovers!

I use 6 or 7 3rd party sites to check prices. But I want free cancellations so that takes a few out. Brits is the easiest to cancel with and rebook. In fact I have cancelled and rebooked my Brits Oct/Nov trip 4 times so far!

They don't have to justify it because its all done by computers. The prices go up and down all of the time, you just need to snag the bargain. I booked my car last November for this September, I've cancelled and rebooked 3 times so far because I saw a better price.

Hi JessBlu, £362 is a very good price, are you sure that's for a Full Size SUV?

That's a Tahoe/Expedition.
