Mobile Friendship boat between Epcot and DHS in Aug, how long are the queues mid afternoon & how long?

I'm planning my Aug 18 schedule and restaurants, can anyone tell me how long the boat takes from Epcot world showcase to DHS? And what are the queues like around 330-4? We're a couple with a 5 year old and an 80 year old mother in tow, so I'm trying to work out the viability of day at Epcot going to DHS for an early dinner around 5pm. Thanks guys for your help

Queues at that time will be minimal, almost certain you would be able to board the next available boat when arriving at the dock.

The journey takes 25 mins and you should allow up to 20 mins to get a boat in case you've just missed one.

We were lucky to walk straight on to a boat that was boarding, it would have been about mid afternoon. There weren’t that many of us on there.

We've done this little trip from boardwalk to HS in the afternoon in August. There are a few little resort shops on the boardwalk for browsing in which we enjoyed, mostly for the air con as it was hot hot hot on the boardwalk around 3pm. Plus from the shops you can see the boat dock and watch the boat coming in so need to stand around on the jetty waiting. As others have said it was about 25 minutes and there was only us and one other family at this time. A lovely little boat ride and quite relaxing.

If you happen to be closer to the Epcot main entrance, an alternative to the boat is to just take a bus from the Epcot main entrance to DHS. (I always forget about this option and finally remembered it last week and saved myself a bit of walking from future world to international gateway!)

Thank you that's so helpful, I didn't know buses went from park to park, do you know if there's one between all the parks?

Just be mindful that the boats do not run during storms
