Can anyone tell me more?

Is it suitable for a brave 5 year old?

If you have a look on youtube there are videos of the ride, like the one below. Bare in mind you get a different scene each time you ride... hopefully

Definitely. Our daughter, who can be quite hesitant, first went on it at 4 and loved it

Yeah, I'd say it was probably suitable for a brave 5 year old.

Star Tours is a simulator with a 3D screen. The small theatre you are in tilts in all different directions to match the action on the screen but does not move on a track. It's like watching a 3D movie at the cinema but the seat you are in jiggles and jumps around.

It's not particularly scary but the film is very action-packed (dodging laser blasts and ships flying towards you) plus the movements can be a bit sudden and jarring at times. If you or your child gets motion sickness then you could be affected on this, so be aware of that.

Our eldest was 4 1/4 when we went last May and he LOVED it. Doing the child swap for the fast passes, he did it a total of 5 times. We were at HS for rope drop. He's mad keen to go there again.

It was my DD 8 and DD5's favourite ride in WDW. Went on it 5 times and they're still convinced they've been to space!

Our boy was just tall enough at 3 and a half and really enjoyed it at the time.

He doesn't want to go on it again though as he said the monster at the end scared him.
