Miami Directions ?

We are travelling from the Highlands reserve on the Us-27 to Miami during our stay in October, i was wondering if anyone has driven to Miami from this sort of area and if so what would be your preferred root ?

I have been on Google maps and naturally it gives a couple of different routes i was wondering which one would be the best and the reasons why.

Any info at all would be extremely useful

Hi there. I believe the fastest (and therefore best lol) for you would be 27 to 192, then onto Osceola Parkway (I join after Celebration) then onto Floridas Turnpike.

Yes you will pay tolls but it is best way to cover the miles.

Our son studied at University of Miami in Coral Gables, Miami and we used to stay up at Southern Dunes and we would just use the 27 up and down to Miami as it is very straight forward. Have also gone across the 60 to Yeehaw Junction and down the Turnpike but sometimes found this is not really any quicker. It partly depends on where you are planning to stay in the Miami area. Once you get there public transport is cheap and very efficient - we tend to use it when we stay there over taking the car.

We've driven straight down the 27 from our home, stopped in Lake Placid for breakfast, its an easy drive. The drive back up the turnpike was quicker, more boring and more expensive with all the tolls! Pussycat
