Universal & Islands of Adventure
Visiting Orlando for a few days in September and planning on going to Universal and Islands of Adventure. We're travelling from the UK so planning on getting our tickets this side of the pond. Where's best to get the tickets and roughly at what price? I've looked at the 2 park Explorer ticket but as we're not there for more than 3 days, I'm not sure if there's any point getting a 14 day ticket. Planning on going to Animal Kingdom on the 3rd day.
Thanks |

There are some links to ticket vendors at the top of the 'Tickets' forum:- https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=122
We got ours from Orlando Attraction Tickets... but they're 14 day tickets.

Hi and welcome
A 14 day ticket is only a few pounds more than a 3 day, but if you really aren't to use it then a 2 or 3 day ticket would be fine. Try to get the park to park one which allows you to do more than one park in a day and use/ride Hogwarts Express between the 2. We often start the day in one park and finish in the other. We buy our tickets from Orlando Attractions and have used Undercover Tourist. Easy to compare prices and both send you real tickets rather than exchange vouchers. |

Various vendors will be able to sort you out, we tended to Orlando Atrractions Direct and Floridatix, however Thomas Cook price matched some of our families tickets, and it was grouped into the increasing holiday cost (i.e. holiday booked and deposit paid, later added on car hire, later added on tickets, balance to be paid next month).
With TC there was additional savings ~10 or 12% by purchasing via company rewards schemes. In cases where TC couldn't match, we used cashback sites e.g. Quidco or Topcashback, even a couple of £ back is more to spend I know you can get AA savings on The Universal hotels etc., but not aware if there is any savings on tickets.

How does the AA card and hotel work? I have just looked but AAA site doesn't list any Universal Hotels. I was looking to do one night to get the fast passes and early entry whilst there as it looked to work out cheaper than getting individual fast passes

Have a look at Orlando Attractions and Undercover Tourist for non-UK tickets. All UK tickets for both Universal and Disney are multi day tickets but those companies will offer 1,2,3 etc day tickets for both. For AK you just need a single day Disney ticket and may be just as well to pay at the gate. For Universal you can either get a 2 day non park to park ticket or pay extra for park to park.
